Esoteric, Freshly Expanded for Lunch

Outdoor dining is the thing right now. COVID-19 and the incredible weather have us all searching for these spots where we can safely gather and enjoy good food and hospitality.

Well, Esoteric on 17th Street at the Beach has expanded and renovated its patio and  is now serving lunch.

A friend and I met there a few Tuesdays ago and played catch-up   over a crunchy, fresh Greek salad; a crusty ricotta, havarti and gruyere grilled cheese with a side of perfectly cubed and cooked sweet potatoes; and a bowl of plant-based poutine made with jackfruit, smoked tofu curd and oyster mushrooms. We were surrounded by planters filled with eucalyptus, basil and other greenery overlooking the expansive paver-covered patio, and our meal was as delicious as it all was lovely.
